SIGNIFICANCE OF A BOND
What is a bond?
Bondholders are important to Green Acres Recreation Association. To hold a bond is to be a sustaining member of the pool. As a bondholder, you will have voting rights at our annual meeting and you may serve on the board to help guide this healthful, community-oriented organization.
If you are a new homeowner, you get your first year of membership for FREE when you buy a bond! Your first summer is a great time to buy your bond and get your family involved in their neighborhood from day one. If you close on your house late in the summer, please contact our bond committee chair to determine whether this year or next will count as your free summer.
What is the cost of a bond?
A bond costs $250 and pays for itself in a few years. Non-bondholders pay a $75 premium per year.
How do I buy a Bond?
When buying your home, ask your realtor if the previous owner has a bond they would like to transfer to you. There is small transfer fee. Otherwise, you may use the membership form to buy a bond.
How do I sell a Bond?
Contact our bond committee chair to place your bond for sale. Your bond will be placed at the bottom of the sale list. When it is sold to a new bond-holder, you will receive your investment back.
