Gate Policies
The following policies pertain to gate entry and use of the facilities. As these policies are in effect for the safety of all members and guests, please be sure to review them and adhere to the rules set by the Board of Directors. If you have any questions, please contact Jolene, our Member Relations Coordinator at 302-514-POOL (7665). Please note: All non-swimmers are included as members if they will be using the facilities on a regular basis, which would also include occupying a chair.
1. Gate Entry: Members must stop to sign in as you enter each day. Everyone entering the complex must be a bondholder or non-bondholder member, the guest of a member or enter under a special GARA promotion. The only exceptions to this policy are for prospective members touring the facility, open house days, and any person needing to pick up children or contact a pool member.
2. Guests: Guests are admitted by checking off an entry on prepaid guest cards which are available to members from our Member Coordinator or at the front desk. Guests must enter the facility with a member, so members please meet your guests at the front desk and escort them in. If purchasing a guest card at the gate, a personal check is required as the volunteer and pool staff are not authorized to handle cash. The volunteer and pool staff are also not authorized to sell single entry guest tickets. Everyone age 3 and over counts as a guest and this applies to use of all facilities whether or not the guest plans to swim. Unused or partly unused guest cards purchased in previous years do not expire.
3. Pool Parties: Use of the facilities by bondholders/non-bondholders for the purpose of a pool party must be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance, with payment received at least 1 week in advance. Reservation forms, including cost information, may be obtained at the gate or on this websie. Completed forms, along with payment, should be returned to the pool staff or other contact person listed. For admission purposes, the gate staff should be provided with a list of names of guests to admit.
4. Complaints: If you have a complaint or issue, the board needs to hear about it so we can improve your experience and maximize health and safety. Please submit a full explanation of your concern to any board member via phone or email or use our contact form. Please do not bring frustrations over a particular policy to the lifeguards or volunteer gate attendants, as they are trained to uphold the rules, and their full attention must be on pool health and safety. However, if you observe a hazard that places any member in imminent danger, notify a guard or pool manager immediately.
